Taking Parliament to the People - 27 to 30 August 2018
Permanent delegates to the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will next week (27 to 30 August) revisit the Free State province to Report Back on progress made regarding undertakings taken during last year’s Taking Parliament to the People Programme.
The multidisciplinary delegation, which will be divided into eight groups, will visit projects in the Mangaung Metropolitan and Xhariep District Municipalities to assess developments and later report back at public meetings to be held at six venues across the two municipalities on Thursday, 30 August at 5pm. Each group will comprise of NCOP delegates, Members of the Free State Legislature, Councillors from the local municipalities and other stakeholders.
The oversight visits will be conducted at different health facilities and related infrastructure in these local municipalities: Kopanong, Letsemeng, Mangaung, and Mohokare.
Members of the media are invited to join the delegations on these oversight visits.
