Parliament subscribes to and promotes the principles of transparency and accountability and as such most of its information is open for access by anyone. It is for this reason that records of Parliament are freely available to the public and are placed on the website for easy access.
It may be necessary when one wishes to access a record which is not listed here to first contact the Clerk of the Papers to enquire whether such record could be provided without having to resort to an application in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act. This is because most of the records in Parliament are automatically available to members of the public as most of the work of Parliament is held in the open.
