Parliament, Monday, 06 March 2017 – The Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) will tomorrow meet with the Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, on matters relating to the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa).
Last week Tuesday, Scopa had a meeting with the Department of Social Development and Sassa in the absence of the Minister. The Committee then resolved to call the Minister to appear before Scopa on 07 March 2017 to discuss issues around the Cash Paymaster Services (CPS) contract and what led to the current debacle, as well as matters pertaining to irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure.
