Parliament, Wednesday, 16 August 2017 – The Portfolio Committee on Rural Development and Land Reform will tomorrow engage with the public in Newcastle by holding a public hearing on the Communal Property Associations Bill. Today the committee was in Vryheid and engaged with 400 members of the community. The Committee will end its visit to KwaZulu-Natal by visiting Westcliffe Farm in Greytown, to view the pilot phase of the policy framework on Strengthening of Relative Rights (SRR) Project for people who work on the land and will engage with both farm owners and farmworkers.
