Parliament, Wednesday, 31 January 2018 – The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises will tomorrow undertake an oversight visit to Eskom’s Head Office, Megawatt Park.
The visit comes at the back of the recent appointment of a new Board and an Acting Group Executive Officer and the release of the company’s interim financial results. The Committee will use the visit to meet the new Board with the intention of establishing a working relationship intended to ensure the viability of the company.
The meeting will also afford the Board and the Acting GCEO the opportunity to outline plans on how they plan to address the governance and financial challenges facing the company.
The Committee will also engage Eskom general staff members.
