Parliament, Thursday, 19 September 2019 – The permanent delegates of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) from Gauteng Province as well as Members of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature will tomorrow visit Sebokeng as part of the NCOP’s Provincial Week programme. The oversight visit will assess progress in implementing infrastructure programmes in the area.

The Provincial Week Programme is the NCOP’s flagship programme. This year’s programme is based on the theme: Building sustainable, responsive and people-centred Municipalities. During the programme, the delegates together with Members of the Provincial Legislature interact directly with citizens on service delivery issues, including housing, water infrastructure maintenance and waste collection.

The delegates will tomorrow visit various service delivery sites, including the Sebokeng Waste Water Treatment Plant, the Golden Gardens Housing Scheme and road infrastructure sites in the area.
