Wednesday 21 June 2017 – President Jacob Zuma will be in the National Assembly Chamber tomorrow, Thursday 22 June 2017, for oral replies to questions by Members of Parliament.

The Rules of the Assembly provide that questions to the President be scheduled at least once A quarter during session time within the annual programme; and must be limited to matters of national and international importance

The procedure for putting questions to the President is one of the ways in which Parliament holds the Executive accountable. Section 92(2) of the Constitution stipulates that Members of the Cabinet are accountable collectively and individually to Parliament for the exercise of their powers and the performance of their functions.
