Parliament, Sunday 26 February 2017 – Parliament will launch a series of activities to commemorate 20 years of the existence of the Constitution, and 20 years since the inception of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP).

The 20th Anniversary of South Africa’s final Constitution and the establishment of the NCOP, presents a timely opportunity for Parliament to reflect on its aspirations and commitments made to the citizenry 20 years ago within the framework of Parliament’s 2016 theme: “Following up on our commitment to the people”.

The launch will take place in Parliament on Friday 3 March 2017 at 09:00 and will culminate in a round table discussion on the transition brought about by the Constitution and the establishment of the NCOP.
