Parliament, Monday, 9 September 2024 – The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will convene a ministerial briefing session on public infrastructure tomorrow, Tuesday, 10 September, under the theme “Progress in confronting the challenges facing the timely delivery of viable public infrastructure projects to communities”.
The Ministers of Human Settlements, Transport and Deputy Minister Public Works and Infrastructure are expected to brief the NCOP on the national progress in confronting challenges in delivering viable public infrastructure projects to communities.
Members of the Executive Council (MECs) responsible for Public Works, Human Settlements, and Transport from all nine (9) provinces will give a brief overview of provincial and municipal progress on the same challenges.

The National Assembly (NA), also in a hybrid plenary at 14:00, will consider the draft notice and schedule determining the rate at which the salaries, allowances and benefits are payable to members of the Commission for Gender Equality annually.
The House will also make a decision of question on a draft resolution debated during a mini plenary on Friday, 6 September, on the need for a parliamentary investigation on the impact of the crime of extortion in South Africa.
