Parliament, Monday 25 May 2020 – The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will engage with two minsters on Covid-19 impact, and Parliament will host Provincial Review Session of the 1994 Women Charter, tomorrow 26 May 2020.

The two ministers, Minister of Co-operative Governance, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, and the Minister of Health, Dr Zwelini Mkhize will brief the NCOP Permanent Delegates and Special Delegates on Covid-19’s impact and how government measures to curb its spread are being implemented across the three spheres of government.

The Women’ Charter Review Sessions (virtual), aimed to take stock of progress made in implementing the articles of the 1994 Women’s Charter for Effective Equality and assess its impact since the advent of freedom and democracy, is scheduled for the Northern Cape (soundbite available above).
