Parliament, Monday, 12 March 2018 – The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises tasked with the inquiry into the mismanagement of state funds in state-owned enterprises have been informed that former South African Airways Chairperson Ms Dudu Myeni and the Gupta brothers and associates will not be attending tomorrow’s meeting.
The Gupta have advised the committee that the brothers are currently out of the country and can therefore not accept the request to appear before the inquiry.
Regarding Ms Myeni, the committee has been informed that she is unable to attend due to ill health and incapacity.
They were all due to testify in front of the inquiry tomorrow. The committee will decide on the way forward regarding the Gupta brothers and Ms Myeni.
