Parliament, Tuesday, 21 April 2026 – The Select Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Mineral Resources together with the Select Committee on Economic Development and Trade will tomorrow and Thursday conduct oversight visits in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality, in North West.

The joint oversight which is conducted in preparation for the National Council of Provinces’ flagship programme of Taking Parliament to the People, to be held in the same district next month, will focus the government’s response to Foot and Mouth Disease in the district, small businesses funded by the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEDFA) and engagements with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).

Tomorrow (Wednesday) the two committees will visit Foot and Mouth Disease vaccination sites in Matlosana, meet with the CCMA at the local labour centre and visit projects funded by SEDFA, and on Thursday the committees will visit the Veterinary Response and Tracing Centre and the Potchefstroom Agricultural College.
