Parliament, Monday, 2 June 2025 – The brutal killing of Mr Khethamabala Petros Sithole robs not only his family but also the Joint Committee on Ethics and Members’ Interests. Mr Sithole was a dedicated committee member who showed great respect for ethical standards and upholding openness and accountability.
As a member of the Joint Ethics Committee of the 7th Parliament, Mr Sithole was forthright in his belief that Members of Parliament had an obligation to South Africans to maintain a high level of integrity and honesty. The loss of Mr Sithole leaves a gaping hole that will be difficult to fill.
The Chairpersons extended their heartfelt condolences to the Sithole family and friends, his political party and to all South Africans.
