Parliament, Wednesday, 30 October 2024 – The Portfolio Committee on Communications and Digital Technologies invites members of the public and interested parties to submit written comments on the shortlisted candidates who will be interviewed to fill four vacancies on the Council of the Independent Communication Authority of South Africa (ICASA).
Section 5(1A)(a) of the ICASA Act (Act No. 2 of 2014) states that the National Assembly must submit to the Minister a list of suitable candidates at least one and a half times the number of councillors to be appointed. Accordingly, a list of 20 candidates shortlisted for interviews is as follows:

The written comments are open for two weeks from today, 30 October 2024, and interviews will be scheduled thereafter. Written comments should be forwarded to the committee Secretary, Mr Thembinkosi Ngoma, at: tngoma@parliament.gov.za
