Parliament, Tuesday, 20 June 2023 – The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services invites stakeholders and interested persons to submit written submissions on the Correctional Services Amendment Bill.
The purpose of the Bill is to amend the Correctional Services Act of 1998 so as to amend certain definitions, to make further provision for the custody of all inmates under conditions of human dignity, to insert, delete and amend certain provisions related to the Judicial Inspectorate for Correctional Services, to make further provision for compliance management and to provide for matters connected therewith
Submissions must be received by no later than 14 July 2023. Please indicate your interest in making a verbal presentation. Enquiries must be directed to Mr V Ramaano. Submissions must be emailed to Csabill@parliament.gov.za.
