Parliament, Friday, 12 February 2021 – The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Inkosi Zwelivelile Mandela, sends a message of condolence to the family of King Goodwill Zwelithini and the Zulu nation on the passing of his Majesty, King Goodwill Zwelethini kaBhekuzulu.
Inkosi Mandela said: “We are deeply saddened and pained at the untimely passing of his majesty, when the whole country and the world is under strain due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We have lost not just a leader, but the monarch of the Zulu kingdom.”
The committee sends its condolences to the management and staff of the Ingonyama Trust Board, of which the king was the sole trustee. “We join the Zulu nation in mourning the passing of the King,” added Inkosi Mandela.
