Parliament, Monday, 12 October 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Tourism will tomorrow consider and adopt the Budgetary Review and Recommendations Report and the minutes of the previous meeting.

The purpose of the Budgetary Review and Recommendations Report (BRRR) is to enable the committee to assess the Department of Tourism’s service delivery and financial performance against its allocated budget and evaluate whether available resources were used effectively and efficiently. It also identifies financial, governance and performance concerns and enables the committee to recommend the department’s future allocation and use of resources.

The report strengthens Parliament’s oversight of public spending and informs the budget process. Once adopted by the National Assembly, it is submitted to the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Finance before the adoption of Parliament’s reports on the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement.
