Parliament, Tuesday, 10 September 2024 – The Select Committee on Security and Justice will tomorrow conduct an oversight visit to Pollsmoor Correctional Centre to receive a comprehensive introduction to the work of the Department of Correctional Services, its programmes, staffing, provincial challenges, infrastructure, fraud, and combatting contraband.
The Department of Correctional Services has an important role to play in the incarceration and rehabilitation of convicted offenders within the value chain of the criminal justice system.
