Parliament, Tuesday, 17 February 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration will receive a briefing tomorrow on the Insourcing Bill of 2025 – a Private Members' Bill introduced by Ms Omphile Maotwe, a Member of the National Assembly (NA).

The Bill seeks to provide for the insourcing of certain services regularly required by organs of state and for matters connected therewith.

In briefing the committee, Ms Maotwe will be given an opportunity to introduce organisations and individuals who have submitted inputs to the Bill before its introduction to the National Assembly for processing. Committee members will then deliberate on the Bill.

Following this, the committee will convene another meeting to invite key stakeholders, including the Department of Public Service and Administration, National Treasury and the Presidency, through the Socio-Economic Impact Assessment System, to provide input before a motion of desirability is discussed.
