Parliament, Thursday, 13 August 2026 – The Joint Standing Committee on the Financial Management of Parliament will tomorrow (Friday) further engage on the progress with the Rebuilding of Parliament project.
This follows the committee’s second site visit conducted last week.
The discussion of observations made during the visit to the construction site was deferred to this week. The committee also invited members of the project steering committee to provide responses along with Parliament and the Development Bank of Southern Africa.
Also on the agenda is a briefing on Parliament’s performance in the first quarter of the 2026/27 financial year. The committee will also consider its submission on the draft Parliamentary Village Management Board Amendment Bill.
