Parliament, Monday, 1 June 2026 — The Portfolio Committee on Transport will tomorrow receive a briefing from the Department of Transport and the Department of Finance (National Treasury) on the decision to discontinue the Public Transport Network Grant (PTNG), commonly referred to as the Bus Rapid Transport system. The committee had in the recent past visited the metros that were meant to be implemented in the North West, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
