Parliament, Wednesday 31 March 2022 – Mpumalanga’s permanent delegates to the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will tomorrow be briefed by the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, and by the MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport on the state of municipalities and roads infrastructure in the province.
The briefings which form part of the NCOP’s Provincial Week programme will include the executive mayors of Ehlanzeni District Municipality as well as Nkomazi, Bushbuckridge and Thaba Chweu local municipalities, to brief the delegates about the state of basic service delivery in their respective areas.
The NCOP delegates will also receive briefings from the Department of Education, the provincial Office of the Auditor-General and the South African Local Government Association.
