Parliament, Wednesday, 24 June 2020 – The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services will later today receive a briefing from the Ministry of Justice and Correctional Services on lockdown related issues including case backlogs and measures to deal with them, release of inmates, what protocols were put in place when realising them and capacity of community corrections and an update on overcrowding in correctional centres.
