Parliament, Wednesday, 26 March 2025 – The Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development will tomorrow visit the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) in KwaZulu-Natal.
Committee Chairperson Mr Xola Nqola said the committee had received numerous complaints about a toxic work environment at the SAHRC. The committee previously held a meeting where Commissioners responded to the complaints. The committee resolved to meet with SAHRC staff to gain a better understanding of the complaints. The committee has already visited the Western Cape and Gauteng SAHRC provincial offices.
The programme for tomorrow, Thursday, 27 March, is:
