Parliament, Thursday, 11 June 2026 – A joint meeting of parliamentary committees will receive a briefing on the Independent Electoral Commission’s (IEC) readiness for the voter registration weekend tomorrow.
The portfolio committees of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) and Home Affairs, as well as the Select Committee on Security and Justice, will also receive an update on preparations for the 2026 Local Government Elections. The voter registration weekend is scheduled for 20 to 21 June 2026.
The date set for the election is 4 November.
