Parliament, Tuesday, 22 February 2022 – The Portfolio Committee on Health will tomorrow hold its last virtual round of public hearings on the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill.
The committee began its virtual public participation process on the NHI Bill on 18 May 2021. The virtual public hearings follow on from provincial public hearings that took place between 25 October 2019 and 24 February 2020. The committee hosted the hearings in 33 district municipalities.
The committee will receive submissions tomorrow on the NHI Bill from the African National Congress and the Democratic Alliance.
