Parliament, Thursday, 20 May 2021 – The Portfolio Committee on Health will from tomorrow visit public health facilities in the Western Cape that are going to roll-out the Phase 2 vaccination programme to assess their readiness for the programme.

The committee resolved to visit all the provinces to assess their state of readiness to roll-out the Phase 2 vaccination programme. Last week the committee undertook an oversight visit to the Northern Cape where it witnessed the arrival of the first batch of Pfizer vaccine in the province.

The committee will start with facilities that are based in the City of Cape Town that include Langa Clinic, KTC Clinic, as well as Paarl that include Newman Community Day Centre.
