Parliament, Wednesday, 25 March 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Health will tomorrow receive an update from the Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, regarding the suspension of senior officials within the Department of Health. The National Health Laboratory Services (NHLS) will brief the committee on measures being implemented to prevent a recurrence of system downtime disruptions. In addition, the committee will receive responses from the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) on outstanding matters raised by the committee.
