Parliament, Wednesday, 24 June 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Forestry, Fisheries and Environment will tomorrow receive briefings from the National Treasury on the collection and disbursement of environmental levies to meet environmental policy objectives. The committee will also be briefed on the transfer of air quality monitoring stations management to the South African Weather Service, along with associated budgets and impacts.
The committee will also receive a briefing from the North West and KwaZulu-Natal Ezemvelo provincial departments on their implementation of the National Heritage Elephant Strategy.
