Parliament, Tuesday, 11 August 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour will on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, engage with key government institutions, youth delegates and social partners on the implementation of recommendations arising from the 2025 P20 Youth Parliament, with a particular focus on inclusive economic growth, industrialisation, employment and meaningful youth participation.
The engagement will bring together the National Planning Commission, the National Youth Development Agency, the Financial and Fiscal Commission and the Department of Employment and Labour to provide their perspectives on the recommendations and the extent to which these can be incorporated into existing government programmes and policies.

Following these engagements, committee members will deliberate on the committee’s position on the P20 recommendations and begin the process of developing a report outlining its observations and recommendations.
The meeting is scheduled as follows:
Date: Wednesday, 12 August 2026
Time: 09h00
Venue: Zoom virtual platform
