Parliament, Monday, 26 October 2020 – The Eastern Cape Provincial delegation to the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will from tomorrow embark on a week-long Provincial Programme in the province.
The delegation has arrived in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality where it will receive briefings from the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Human Settlements, and the MEC for Finance on the extent to which the national and provincial spheres of government support the identified municipalities according to section 154 of the Constitution.
The delegation will also receive briefings from the Auditor-General on the municipal audit outcomes, and from the Executive Mayor of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality. The briefings will be virtual and hybrid.
