Parliament, Monday, 12 October 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Communications and Digital Technologies will tomorrow, Tuesday, 13 October 2026, receive a briefing from the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies on universal service obligations.
The department’s presentation will cover spectrum commitments, the Universal Service and Access Fund (USAF), enforcement of universal service obligations, and accountability.
The committee will also receive briefings on the 2025/26 annual reports and financial statements of Broadband Infraco, Sentech, the State Information Technology Agency, the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa, and the Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa.
