Parliament, Tuesday, 14 July 2026 – The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Communications and Digital Technologies, Ms Khusela Sangoni Diko, will tomorrow (Wednesday, 15 July 2026) deliver the opening remarks at the high-level AT50 Market Open ceremony.

Established by the Indexa Exchange Group and launched at the London Stock Exchange in January this year, the Africa Tech 50 Index (AT50) is a rules-based quarterly benchmark tracking up to 50 of Africa's most listing-ready private technology companies. It is the first index of its kind, providing institutional investors with a transparent, governable framework for exposure to African tech growth.

The ceremony will bring together leaders from the investment institutions, global banks, development finance, exchanges and Africa’s most scaled private technology companies to explore how innovation, investment and capital formation can accelerate South Africa's digital economy and drive inclusive growth.

Ms Diko will deliver the opening remarks under the theme: "Digital Infrastructure, Innovation and Africa’s Capital Markets."
