Parliament, Monday, 10 February 2025 – The Portfolio Committee on Transport will tomorrow receive briefings from the Minister of Transport and the Road Traffic Management Corporation on the 2024/2025 festive season road safety statistics.
In 2023, road accidents cost the South African economy approximately R205 billion – 2.7% of gross domestic product. Tomorrow’s meeting will also consider written submissions on the draft Economic Regulation of Transport Amendment Bill.
