Parliament, Tuesday, 6 April 2021 – The Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture will this week conduct an oversight visit to the Free State and Gauteng provinces.
The committee resolved to conduct an urgent oversight on arts entities in Gauteng and Free State following widespread protests by artists and allegations of fraud relating to Covid-19 relief fund and the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme.
On day 1, the committee will meet with the Performing Arts Centre of the Free State, DSCA and NEHAWU among others.
