Parliament, Thursday, 27 August 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Basic Education will tomorrow receive an update from the Department of Basic Education on regulations pertaining to the Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Act. It will also receive a formal presentation on the Children’s Amendment Bill as well as a briefing on Schools for Learners with Special Education Needs from the department.
