Parliament, Sunday, 1 January 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation will from tomorrow conduct oversight visits to State-Owned Enterprises and Mpumalanga provincial government.

On Tuesday the committee will meet with the Mpumalanga Office of the Premier and relevant departments to discuss the alignment of the provincial growth and development strategy to the Medium-Term Development Plan, and the alignment of provincial plans to the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation’s integrated planning framework.

On Wednesday the committee will hold a comprehensive briefing session and review of the implementation of the District Development Model and meet with the Mpumalanga Growth and Development Agency, and later in the day it will conduct site visits to Special Economic Zones projects in Ehlanzeni District Municipality.

On Thursday and Friday, the committee will conduct oversight visits to the South African Forestry Company Limited in Sabie, and Kusile Power Station in Emalahleni, respectively.
