Parliament, Tuesday, 21 April 2026 – The Select Committee on Education, Sciences and the Creative Industries will tomorrow kick-start its oversight visit to schools around Matlosana Local Municipality in the North West.
The Chairperson of the committee, Mr Makhi Feni, said the visit is in line with the objectives of the National Council of Provinces to ensure that challenges schools face in providing quality services to our learners in the North West, are eliminated.
Over and above infrastructure challenges the committee will seek an update on such themes as:
1. Challenges of school children without Birth certificates
2. State of ECDs
3. Status on the Provision of National School Nutrition Programme
4. Status on the provision of scholar transport
5. Status of Safety and Security in Schools
6. Incidences of bullying in schools.

2. Vukani Mawethu Secondary School
3. Mofatlhosi Secondary School, an
