Parliament, Sunday, 15 March 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Land Reform and Rural Development, will today conclude its three-day oversight visit programme in the Western Cape Province by visiting the Langwyde Equity Scheme beneficiaries at Langwyde Farm.

The visit is part of the visits to farms around Clanwilliam, Citrusdal, and Ceres following up on a petition that was submitted to the committee by organisations representing farm equity schemes.

The petition was referred to the committee in November 2025. The petitioners are calling for Parliament to ensure full accountability from the state, including the departments of Agriculture and Land Reform and Rural Development. The oversight will also include public participation by farmworkers in the selected districts.

The Langwyde Equity Scheme visit will be followed by a public meeting at Op-Die-Berg Community Hall.

Details of the visit are as follows:

Date: 15 March 2026
Time: 11: 00
