Parliament, Thursday, 8 October 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Health will tomorrow receive a briefing from the Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, on the investigation into the advertising tender for the National Health Insurance.
Last month, the Minister and Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Joe Phaahla, jointly called on the Special Investigating Unit, the Office of the Auditor-General of South Africa and the Public Protector to investigate claims in media reports about the tender.
The department will also brief the committee on its performance and progress against annual performance targets. It will further brief the committee on its financial management performance and the measures being implemented in response to the AGSA’s audit findings.
