Parliament, Monday, 25 May 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Health will tomorrow receive a briefing from the Traditional Health Practitioners Council of South Africa on its mandate and on the challenges it faces in regulating the sector.
The Council will brief the committee on its role in regulating traditional health practitioners, setting standards of practice and protecting the public. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for the Council to outline the key challenges affecting its ability to fulfil this mandate.
