Parliament, Tuesday, 28 April 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Health will tomorrow be briefed by the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS), the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC), the Office of Health Standards Compliance (OHSC) and the Mines and Works Compensation Fund (MWCF), on their annual performance plans and budgets for the 2026/27 financial year.
The committee will also receive a briefing from the Financial and Fiscal Commission (FFC) on its analysis and recommendations regarding the current fiscal framework, national Department of Health and provincial departments’ allocations including entities and implications for service delivery.
