Parliament, Monday, 7 June 2021 – The Portfolio Committee on Social Development will tomorrow hold public hearings into the Children’s Amendment Bill (CAB) in Polokwane. The Bill is intended to resolve numerous challenges relating to the welfare of children and those include parental responsibilities of unmarried fathers, child marriages, services to children born to foreign parents and unaccompanied migrant children.

The initial phase of the public hearings on the Bill will take place in Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces.
