Parliament, Monday, 31 January 2022 – The Portfolio Committee on Basic Education will this week visit schools in the Western Cape Province’s Cape Winelands and Breede River districts to assess their readiness for the 2022 academic year.
The oversight visit programme which has commenced in the Western Cape today and which will take place in the Northern Cape on Wednesday, is a continuation of the one that has taken place two weeks ago in other provinces.
The committee will split into two groups for the purposes of reaching to as many schools as possible.
Details of the programme in the Cape Winelands and Breede River Education Districts are as follows:
