Parliament, Monday, 25 May 2026 – The Portfolio Committee on Agriculture will tomorrow, Tuesday 26 May, meet to consider executive responses to recommendations contained in its 2025/26 Budget Vote Report and the 2025 Budgetary Review and Recommendation Report (BRRR), while also receiving an update on the country’s escalating foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) outbreak and vaccination programme.
The meeting forms part of the committee’s ongoing oversight work to ensure that government interventions in the agricultural sector are properly coordinated, adequately funded and responsive to growing challenges affecting farmers, rural communities, and food security.
