Parliament, Sunday, 20 August 2023 – The Ad Hoc Joint Committee on Flood Disaster Relief and Recovery will this week conduct oversight visits to some areas that were impacted by floods that occurred in 2022 and this year in the Eastern Cape Province.

The objective of the oversight visit is to afford the committee an opportunity to have a clear understanding of the extent to which the government has been able to provide assistance to the province towards flood disaster relief and recovery from the 2022 floods and establish the amount of damage caused by the 2023 floods.
