Parliament, Tuesday 16 March 2021 – Tomorrow afternoon, the National Assembly (NA) will hold an oral question and answer session with Deputy President David Mabuza and the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will hold such a session with Minister of Tourism Ms Mamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane and Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams.

These Questions for Oral Reply Sessions are one of the mechanisms which Parliament uses to hold the Executive to account.

The questions coming up in the NA for the Deputy President cover topics, such as, mechanisms to prevent corruption during the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out, settlement of land restitution claims and the Eskom turnaround strategy. For the question paper, please click here.

In the NCOP, the questions for Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams include the unbundling of Postbank from the Post Office, the switching off of analogue TV transmitters and a sustainable turnaround strategy for SABC. Minister Kubayi-Ngubane’s questions include positioning of the tourism sector for post-pandemic growth, programmes to promote township tourism and plans for a crime-free Table Mountain.
