Parliament, Thursday, 2 September 2021 – President Cyril Ramaphosa will tomorrow, Friday, 3 September, appear in the National Assembly’s (NA) hybrid plenary session to provide oral replies to questions from the NA Members of Parliament (MPs) at 10 am.
Section 92(2) of the Constitution stipulates that cabinet members are accountable collectively and individually to Parliament for the exercise of their powers and performance of their functions. Questions for Oral Reply by the President and the Deputy President are one of the mechanisms that Parliament consistently uses to hold the Executive to account.

Members of the media who wish to physically attend the NA hybrid plenary sitting should send their details (Full name, name of the media house, and ID or passport number) to Mlindi Mpindi on email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Parliamentary sittings are open to the media and the public. Journalists wishing to cover these (including receiving links to virtual meetings) should send their cellphone numbers to Mlindi Mpindi on email email@example.com for inclusion in the Parliamentary Communications Services WhatsApp Group, where such information is shared. Journalists must send these requests using their official email addresses (no private emails).
