Parliament, Tuesday, 5 May 2026 – The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will tomorrow at 14:00, hold a debate on the Provincial Week Report under the theme: “Building viable municipalities for enhanced delivery of basic services to communities.”

The report follows oversight visits conducted by Permanent Delegates to the NCOP across provinces from 18 to 21 November 2025 to assess service delivery, with particular focus on incomplete, delayed and abandoned infrastructure projects. At the same sitting, the House will also consider legislation (Bills before the NCOP) and committee reports.

Also, tomorrow at 14:00, the Economics Cluster 5 Ministers will appear before the National Assembly to respond to questions from Members of Parliament. The Cluster consists of ministers responsible for the national departments of Land Reform and Rural Development, Public Works and Infrastructure, Small Business Development, Tourism, Trade, Industry and Competition, Transport and Science, Technology and Innovation.
