Parliament, Friday, 13 March 2020 – A delegation of The Ad Hoc Committee to Initiate and Introduce Legislation Amending Section 25 of the Constitution to allow for the expropriation of land without compensation will tomorrow hold public hearings in the King William’s Town area in the Eastern Cape.

In 2018, the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) focused on evaluating South African citizens’ opinions on the desirability of changing Section 25 of the Constitution. The Ad Hoc Committee’s focus is on how exactly this should be done and the wording to be used.
